The Application for 2025 is NOW CLOSED

For those who have applied:

Please be patient as we collect responses. You may not receive a confirmation email until the beginning of August. All students who have applied should expect to pick up their backpack at their school's open house in August unless otherwise notified. Open house schedules will come from the school.

Homeschool, New Dimensions, and Morganton Day School students will pick up their backpack at Burke County United Way’s office; we will contact you directly to schedule a pick-up day and time.

Backpacks are pre-filled with school supplies:

24 individually wrapped school supply sets accompany these colorful backpacks, & consist of 3 #2 pencils, pencil sharpener with lid cover, canvas pencil case, 3 ballpoint pens (in blue & black ink), spiral wide ruled one subject notebook, pocket folder, ruler with centimeters and inches, highlighter, non-toxic wax crayons, easy-twist glue stick, and 2 pink erasers.
