Burke County Emerging Leaders

You are here

The Emerging Leaders began in early 2019 when the Burke County Chamber of Commerce and the Burke County United Way came together to create a steering committee. Both saw a need for the development and support of the young professionals in our county, and more opportunities for them to connect, network and give back to their community.

The mission of the Emerging Leaders’ program is to create opportunities for networking, professional development, and community engagement to young professionals in Burke County.

Burke County Emerging Leaders Steering Committee is Co-Chaired by Stacie Gory, Town of Rutherford College and Travis Mull, Wells Fargo Advisors. As the committee continues to plan and grow this new program, it hosts a monthly event, for either a networking or professional development, every other month in Burke County. The Emerging Leaders also collect items for a different local charity organization at each event, giving all young professionals an opportunity to give back to the community. To stay on top of upcoming events and other updates, visit their Facebook page.

Burke County Emerging Leaders is completely open to all young professionals aged 21-40.
