Burke County United presents awards at the Annual Meeting to companies that meet the following criteria:
Bronze: Accounts that reach $52 per employee (Non-profit or public Bronze is $26 per employee)
Silver: Accounts that reach $104 per employee (Non-profit or public Silver is $52 employee)
Gold: Accounts that reach 1% of *average wage per employee
*The average wage in Burke County is $31,136 per year ($311per employee for 1%). Multiply the number of employees to $311 for 1% for the company.
2009-2010 Award Winners
Rutherford Electric Membership Corporation achieved $160.19 per employee, receiving the Highest Per Capita Employee Giving Award.
Sara Lee Bakery achieved $47 per employee, and a 851.72% increase receiving the Most Improved Campaign Award.
School Division awards went to:
Forest Hill Elementary achieved a 97.35% increase.
East Burke High School and associate schools raised a total of $8,488.
Amy Rutherford, with Leviton Manufacturing received the Employee Campaign Coordinator of the Year Award.
