United Way at Work

Burke County United Way is more than just a fundraiser.  We provide several outreach programs to the community that reach beyond fundraising.

United Way 2-1-1 is a free and confidential Information and Referral service.  2-1-1 can assist any Burke County resident, organization or agency in finding answers to questions about community resources and volunteering.  2-1-1 is here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is available in Spanish.  Dial 1-866-211-4652 toll-free if you are using a cell phone.  Click Here to add or update your agency's information in the 2-1-1 system.

Burke County United Way allocated $57,186 in 2008 under Phase 26 of the Emergency Food and Shelter program of FEMA.

The Volunteer Center for Burke County initiates and leads efforts to strengthen the community through recruitment, referral and recognition of volunteers.

Continuing Burke's Vision provides and implements creative solutions to community problems through volunteer task forces.
